Project Gallery

The Project Gallery is a contemporary art gallery set within a Georgian house, on the high street in the heart of the historic town of Arundel. The original drawing rooms to the front of the property, with their high ceilings and paneling, have been transformed in to a modern forum, where contemporary art can be displayed to it’s best advantage, and where it is easy for the viewer to imagine art in their own home.

The Gallery was established in 2014, to provide a platform for emerging to mid-career artists, unearthing a spectrum of new and inspiring talent. It has the objective of running an exceptional programme of solo exhibitions and group shows. Providing strong support for the medium of painting, championing its relevance and dynamism, where the artist displays good composition, palette and has something relevant to say. It also exhibits the work of sculptors and ceramicists providing visual harmony when exhibited alongside the paintings.

The gallery was founded, and is run by Mickey Newmarch and Matt Bodimeade. Mickey has a degree in graphic design from the London College of Communication and has worked with The Yellow Pencil Company in London and Tam Tam Advertising in Montreal. Mickey has been surrounded by a coterie of artists during her working life and has a genuine understanding of what they endure to stay true to their visions and enjoys supporting them in their endeavors.

The gallery space is open to the public Thursday to Friday from 11am - 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am - 5pm. Along side our current exhibitions a selection of our gallery artists’ work can be viewed in the back rooms. Viewings are also by appointment, this is easily arranged as a member of staff is usually on the premises.
